LTL Rifle

LTL Rifle is sired by Brambletye Commander Bligh N706. His bloodline is widely recognized across Australia as one of the strongest maternal bloodlines in the breed. He is a maternal brother to Brambletye Quartermaster Q117 out of the great TRA Brambletye Felicity J167, whose full bodied conformation gives her offspring that excellent feed conversion and doing ability. Commander Bligh is the sire of the 2002 National Champion Female as well as the 2001 National Senior Champion Female.
LTL Rifle’s mother is ALM Maggie 1L. Her sire is the famous Brambletye Quartermaster Q117. In 1998, he was the Australian National Champion Bull. He was imported into the United States and given the honor of having the first registration number, FM1, given by the American Lowline Registry. He was also famous for having an astounding ribeye area per hundred weight ratio of 1.68. That was virtually unheard of in the beef industry.

In 2006, at the National Western Livestock Show, LTL Rifle was named Champion Intermediate Fullblood Bull Calf and was one of the four bulls in the Grand Champion drive.
Following the show, we took Rifle home and used him as the cleanup bull for our replacement heifers and the 3 Lowline females we purchased at the Denver Sale expecting to breed him to 10 or 15 head as we usually do with our yearling bulls. Because the quality of one group of implanted embryos we used to breed our heifers was not as good as we had expected, Rifle had to breed 22 heifers and 3 Lowline females 3 weeks before he was 2 years old, a truly amazing accomplishment!!! He had only 75 day to recuperate after we took him out of the heifer pasture before we showed him again at Kansas City and he was named the 2006 American Royal Grand Champion Fullblood Bull. He just continued to amaze us!!
We showed Rifle again at the 2007 Denver National Western Livestock Show where he was the Reserve Champion Senior Fullblood Bull behind the then undefeated LTL Durango, his former pen mate.
